Part of their Adventure Club Collection, the Melin Coronado Packable Hydro hat is my favorite Melin hat yet.

Melin Coronado Packable Hydro

I am becoming a a bit of a fan of Melin Hats and the Melin Coronado Packable Hydro is my favorite one yet. This hat is part of their Adventure Club Collection. The first hats I reviewed from Melin were the Cornonado Brick Hydro and the Pace Hydro. I love the fit and feel of this one! Compared to the Coronado Brick Hydro this one features an unstructured fit. Both have an adjustable snapback fit however this one feels like it has a bit of stretch to it, so even if you had this one done up one button tighter it would still not feel quite as tight. The Packable Hydro feels lighter and is much more breathable as well. I love everything about this hat, however the material under the brim seems to stain easily. Like all Melin hats they do cost more than your average hat, but you are paying for noticeable quality and not just a premium for a name. This hat is going to be lasting you a long time.

Technology and Features

The Packable Coronado comes in 3 colorways.

Sizing

This hat comes in 3 different sizes and sits on the shallow end of their depth chart. As far as fits go, the Coronado is a fairly shallow fit. Most shallow hats don't fit great on me. I have an average sized noggin of about 58 cm around the widest parts of my head, but it seems that the deeper hats tend to fit best. The fit of the structured version is shallow as well but also fits my head great!

Size guide chart with three columns: Small, Classic, XL. Includes size, metric, and inches measurements. Simple design, white background.

Fit Guide with two bars: Depth set to shallow, Breathability set to high. Text labels are shallow, mid, deep, low, medium, high.

Head over to Melin to pick one up if you choose. I will probably be adding another one of these to my hat quiver soon.
