New SRAM Motive Brakes Offer The Power Of Codes And The Weight Of Levels.
SRAM is on a tear this week. Next up on the product release list are the new SRAM Motive brakes which look to be replacing the Level and the Code spots in the SRAM lineup thanks to the new Motive providing the power of the Code but the weight of the Level. No more 2 piston brakes are found in the SRAM brake family, which makes a lot of sense with how capable XC and trail bikes have become in the past few years. Feel free to tune in to the power you need or don't need by sizing up or down in rotor size or go with the ultimate in stopping power by choosing the HS2 rotors.

Choose from organic or sintered pads with organic pads offering up a stronger initial bite and less noise and sintered giving more ressistance to sustained heat over longer downhill trails.

Motive’s caliper-piston seals use a proprietary material that retains its properties to maintain air-tight sealing regardless of extreme braking heat or low atmospheric temperatures. These remarkable heat-tolerant seals also enable Motive to overcome all past weakness associated with mineral oil, and leverage all of its strengths. A consistent feel for speed and control, uphill and down.
SRAM will be using DirectLink on the Motives instead of SwingLink which they say gives a more solid linear feel that starts the moment your begin to pull the lever giving you the same amount of consistent power through the entire lever pull.

The Motives will be offered in 4 different levels from Bronze up to Ultimate with a neat paint job on the Motive Ultimate Expert Kit. You can find the new SRAM Motive brakes at Jenson USA.
