Industry Nince Hydra 2 Hubs Offer 870 Points Of Engagement With Increased Durability And 200% Less Drag
Industry Nine recently released a new version of the classic Hydra hubs that have been a favorite to many but not to some. Industry Nine heard the cries from the haters and have improved upon version one on a few fronts with the new Hyrda 2.

Scalloped flanges on Hydra2 j-bend hubs increase overall strength, and remove excess material for a lighter, stronger hubshell.

More rolling resistance in a hub comes from seals protecting the hub from the elements. I9 has optimized all the seals in Hydra2 to minimize friction.

With .41 degree engagement and 60% less coasting drag than Hydra, Hydra2 provides intantaneous response and descends faster than ever.

New axle design is 65% thicker with an improved stress washer design.

Larger, 5.5mm pawl pockets that evenly distribute force 26% better, preventing deformation of the pockets over years of use.

They are using an updated and more fatigue resistant steel for the drive ring and increased the pawl tooth count to 3, guaranteeing Hydra2 can easily handle the torque of the most powerful ebike motors.

Full-contact radial lip seals paired with proximity dust shields keep grit and grime out, and lubrication in.
Durable 6903 bearings are used throughout for smooth, long-lasting performance.
System Wheels
Officially known in-house as their system chassis, Hydra2 refines I9's direct-thread, straight-pull hub and spoke system. Both front and rear hubs, along with each spoke, can be individually customized in any of their 12 anodized colors.
