A Few of My Favorite Things Holiday Gift Ideas For 2024!

It's barely October and the fall leaves in the Wasatch Mountains here in Utah are in their prime, yet Costco and Walmart have been stocking the shelves with Christmas stuff. It's that time of year when the kids are begging to turn on the heater in the morning and by noon it's time to crank the A/C. It's the best time of year to get outside and get in those last rides, last hikes, last fishing trips, etc. before switching gears to winter activities. This time of year is extremely hard for me to focus on working in an office at my full time job when the weather and the trails are perfect and everyone is posting colorful fall foliage pictures to instagram, hashtag skittles. It's basically full time fomo from now til the snow flies for me. It's also a good time to start thinking about what gifts you're going to get for friends and family. And if you want to make sure your gifts don't suck like in years past then keep reading and get some cool gift ideas that people will actually love! Let's dive into my holiday gift ideas for 2024!

Whether it's for a headlamp, milk frother, gaming controllers or whatever else in your house takes batteries, these are a no brainer! Stop waisting money on disposable batteries that are bad for the planet and get some of these for yourself or a loved one! Head to Pale Blue Earth and give them a peep.

EXPED MEGAMAT 10 And WIDGET Pump

This one is for your lover of camping but also aren't going unless their camping mat is just as good as their mattress at home. In my case this mat is actually more comfortable than my mattress at home. The Megamat 10 isn't meant for backpacking but it is meant for sleeping good when you can drive or take a short walk to your campsite! And if you don't like blowing stuff up be sure to pick up the Widget pump! It works like magic and it's also a light and a power bank!

FORGE AND BOND WHEELS

This gift is the most expensive on my list of favorites but if you really love someone and want to get them something they won't forget I would recommend you to their website and shop for the best wheels and handlebars you can put on a bike! I have been riding the 30 EM Aggressive All-Mountain Wheelset, and the 25 MTN bars. Forge and Bond's fusion fiber has a magical way of taking the sting out of the trail keeping you fresh and riding longer.

Prevelo Bikes

This next one is for the kids. Do you want your kids to love you and also love mountainbiking? You should probably look no further than Prevelo for you kids next whip! Seriously though, please don't get your kids a crappy bike. I know you are probably riding the newest in technology, $5,000 or more carbon fiber mountain bike with wireless shifting. Don't try and save money on giving your kid a garage bike. Save money by not going to Starbucks and brewing your coffee at home instead. My kids have been grown up on the Prevelo Zulu lineup and they all seem smarter and better because of it.

Coal Headwear

I probably own more items from Coal Headwear than any other brand. In the summer it's pretty much the Provo hat and in the winter it's the Uniform beanie. Coal makes quality stuff that is rad, fits good and super comfy!

In this video above you can see the Coal Union beanie doing it's job of keeping my bald head warm and protected from cold powder snow.

BUBS Naturals Coffee and Collagen Protein

Hey coffee lovers and people who enjoy health and longevity. Check out some of my favorite coffee on the planet from the folks at Bubs Naturals. This is seriously good stuff. The coffee is delicious and I usually just mix a scoop of the collagen into my morning coffee and it dissolves super easy.

Melin Hats

And last but not least let's talk about Melin Hats. For those that take hat wearing serious or are curious about stepping up their hat game then check out Melin hats. As with most of my favorite things in this gift guide I have throughly tested and reviewed them. You can find a link to my write up on Melin here. These are a bit more expensive than other hats, but these are super premium and will last and last and keep lasting. You will also look like a grown up and won't get kicked out of the country club while wearing one.
